An Integrated Approach To The Control Process of A Robotic Wheelchair

The following study is aimed at investigating modern ways of wheelchair control, including the examination of the man-machine interface usage. In order to prevent critical situations from occurring while disabled people are moving, a promising integrated approach to biocontrol of robotic wheelchairs was proposed to ensure a high reliability of control signals recognition. The basis of this approach underlies in the application of a multiparameter control interface using i-tracking and neurointerface. In this work, the proposed integrated approach based on the parallel application of the two most effective methods of biocontrol was combined with modern equipment for monitoring the state of people with moving disabilities functions. We introduce a parallel CNN for the classification of integrated eye-tracking results and EEG frequency components. The following approach is considered to significantly improve the quality of disabled people’s lives by improving the reliability of control.
