Relationship Between Subjective Wellbeing and Prosocial Activities (ecuadorian Case)

In this study, patterns of prosocial activities (participation in community work, proxy by mingas, and caring for people) and their associations with life satisfaction will be tested after the implantation of social policies in Ecuador in 2008. This involves building regression models where life satisfaction is the dependent variable, and prosocial activities are the independent variable. One regression model is built for 2007 and one regression model for 2014. Categorical variables and dummy variables are used for life satisfaction and the regional classification (where the household head lives). Also, this study uses household-level data incorporating regional differences, as used in the study. Thus, this study develops econometric models for 2007 and 2014.
