Enriching Software Engineering Gamification Environments With Social Information

During the last few years, a significant research effort has focused on the benefits of applying gamification techniques to improve the motivation and performance of people in Software Engineering environments. Most existing proposals apply techniques such as points, levels, and rankings in the different process areas of Software Engineering. However, some authors have questioned the benefits of these basic techniques and explored other complementary alternatives. This paper presents ongoing work on applying social information analysis techniques to enrich gamified Software Engineering environments.
