Methodological Approach To Know The State of The Art and The Advances of Data Sharing In Education
Introduction: Scientific research on education generates a large volume of digital data, but many of them remain hidden and are never used, so its potential power to devise new hypotheses, generate new scientific knowledge and stimulate inno-vation and further discovery is not harnessed. Our objective is to provide knowledge on the current state of the art of beliefs, problems, experiences, cura-tion and re-use of data in Education sciences. Methodology: Consists of the de-velopment and integration of 4 methodologies: a) Design, completion and subse-quent analysis of surveys on knowledge, attitudes and practices in the deposit and reuse of research data by education researchers. b) In-depth interviews to re-searchers in Education sciences. c) Identification and analysis of raw research da-ta in articles published in educational journals, using Web of Science as a source. d) Analysis of compliance with the FAIR principles in the datasets identified in the previous methodological steps. Concluding remarks: This proposal will allow researchers in the Education sciences: opportunity to know useful but unknown existing data; awareness that a reliable management of the data can save errors in file naming, storage locations, exposure and exchange, using standardised for-mats; learning how to manage data in the long term; helping to reproduce and contrast already published experiments, and samples may be increased in similar studies. Impact on the socio-economic level is expected because researchers and social agents interested in re-analysing and processing open sources of educa-tional data will become increasingly involved.
